Who We Are

The International Development Effectiveness Alliance (IDEA) is a group of practitioners who have come together around a common concern: the ultimate outcomes of our international development programs.  In numerous conversations with practitioners, donors and aid recipients there is a strong sense that we can accomplish a lot more through our international development programs. IDEA is working to: (a) cause pioneering shifts in international development effectiveness that support people as the cause of their own development, particularly through leader development programs, and (b) complement and support organizations and individuals in accomplishing those shifts. More effective development is our stand.
