IDEA offers a series of specialized services:

IDEA Development Leaders in Action Working Sessions (c) 2011

Washington, D.C.-based Working Session for international development practitioners intending to create major future outcomes, developmental innovations and extraordinary performance.  Sessions are designed to accommodate the outcomes desired by less-experienced professionals and graduate students.   After the session, IDEA staff provide three months of coaching to participants at no cost.

Performance Team Working Sessions (c) 2011

Working Session designed for a company’s performance group who are working to achieve the extraordinary outcomes and  performance.

Field Team Building Working Session (c) 2012

Specially-designed, in-country Power of the Team curriculum delivered at project initiation to create team cohesiveness, clear and effective communication and facilitates setting forth outcomes, planningand support mechanisms to achieve extraordinary project results.  These working sessions use our team building curriculum and facilitate annual project planning exercises.  These working sessions are designed especially to support USAID’s FORWARD Initiative, in that USAID intends to use more local teams to carry out projects and these sessions will enhance team cohesiveness among these local and expatriate project staff.  These working sessions can also be used re-set project possibilities and outcomes for projects experiencing distress, lack of cohesion, and operational and results shortfalls.

Local Leader Working Sessions (c) 2011

These are tailored Working Sessions executed in multiple locations to develop local leaders who can articulate aspirations, community outcomes and commitments desired; project design deepening and fine-tuning; and means to increase local project ownership and responsibility and overall effectiveness. Also enables establishing on-going coaching mechanisms (via skype) to keep remote project teams moving towards their stated outcomes. These Working Sessions support project expansion to new locations; identification and training of sensitive local organizations that can provide on-going, effectiveness coaching; and establish project mechanisms
to support enhanced performance.

Industrial Process Alignment (c) 2011

Working session with private industrial teams who want to create higher quality, greater productivity, on-time delivery, safety in the domain of extraordinary performance.

Technical Writing Seminars

These one-day seminars are designed to help proposal writers better express the outcomes, benchmark results, and actions that clearly state how the project will achieve effectiveness and extraordinary performance.  They are based on the concepts of the Development Leaders in Action Working Session and therefore attendees in the seminar should have previously attended the Working Session.  In additional, participants will be taught to “de-lard” their text and use active language in proposals.
